API Access Information
PI EHR Application Program Interface (API)
The PI EHR API provides electronic and secure access by 3rd party applications to patient health information that is maintained by the PI EHR system.
Approval to use our API requires the organization responsible for the 3rd party application (hereafter referred to as "3rd Party Provider") to sign a written agreement that 1) agrees to maintain and provide us with written consent from all patients whose health information is maintained by us and will be accessed using the Other EHR Provider's system, 2) releases and protects Professional Imaging from any and all liability resulting from a failure by the 3rd Party Provider to a) adequately protect our patient health information, b) adequately maintain and provide bonafide written patient consent (as stated above), or c) adhere to all requirements stated in the HIPAA guidelines, and 3) carries an insurance policy or can otherwise guarantee a bond of sufficient funds to cover any costs or penalties related to a failure to meet the aforementioned requirements. Approval to use our API is not guaranteed and can be withheld or revoked if there is any reason for us to believe the aforementioned requirements will not or are not being met.
Please contact Professional Imaging, LLC, Application System Services, email address mike@proimagetx.com if you are seeking approval for API access or you have any questions regarding this API.
